How to analyze a talking-head SaaS demo

Review how a presenter’s words match product actions in a complete, permissioned talking-head video. The sample is a fictional planning exercise; real annotated assets require permission and review.

Select a complete permitted sequence

A breakdown needs an actual complete talking-head and product demonstration, not an isolated transcript. Record the creator, source, rights, export version and relevant product feature. Remove confidential data before sharing frames or clips.

Map speech to the screen

For each segment, record the actual spoken words, time range, visible screen and resulting action. Highlight where the screen demonstrates the claim and where a statement lacks visible support. A time-coded table should use measured timestamps from the actual asset.

Fictional planning example

An illustrative script could say “open the call note and check the next-step section” while the screen shows that action. This is a hypothetical example, not a real transcript or recorded video. A generated presenter must not be represented as a customer giving a personal endorsement.

Document the real review

Save the permissioned source, transcript, screenshots and any correction with approval dates. Check captions, audio and screen readability on a phone. Do not infer retention, customer results or tested improvements without actual data.

Copy the planning worksheet

Use this worksheet in your own notes. Fill it with verified product details and actual review observations before sharing an asset.
