Start with the promised task
Before reviewing style, write the opening promise and the product action the asset claims to show. Check the current app and record the supporting screen or source. A video, wall-of-text clip and carousel can make the same claim in different ways; each still needs accurate facts and appropriate permissions.
The examples in this guide are fictional review scenarios. They are not actual corrected exports, customer feedback or campaign outcomes.
Review a hook plus demo
Fictional draft opening: “my follow-up sends itself.” The visible screen only contains a call note. Flag the mismatch: the note alone does not demonstrate automatic sending. A proposed correction is “the next step is in the call note,” followed by the actual section, if the product supports it. Save a real corrected export and reviewer notes before calling the issue fixed.
Check that the reaction footage may be used, private data is removed and the product is readable at phone size.
| Format | Key question | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Hook plus demo | Does the screen prove the opening? | Actual product view |
| Wall of text | Can the approved words be read? | Final export on phone |
| Slideshow | Does the opening match the body? | Complete slide sequence |
| All formats | Are claims and assets authorized? | Source and permission record |
Review a wall-of-text video or slideshow
For a text-led clip, check the exact approved words, spelling, contrast and reading time across the moving background. A generated scene can illustrate context but does not prove customer use. For a slideshow, verify that the opening matches the body, each slide advances the task, any screen is genuine and sanitized, and the final destination delivers what the ending promises.
Flag unsupported claims such as invented savings, guaranteed outcomes or a testimonial the speaker did not provide. Remove or substantiate them before sharing.
Record a real decision
Use a review card with asset version, issue, evidence, owner and next action. Mark the item pending until the actual corrected export is reviewed. Watch it on a phone and check any links independently. If rights, a feature or pricing are uncertain, obtain the relevant evidence before publication.
This checklist identifies common review questions; it is not a guarantee of legal clearance, reach or conversion.
